2. Objectives of the Training Program
2.1. General Objective
The objective of the standard undergraduate training program in International Trade and Business Law is to provide society with high-quality human resources in the field of international trade and business law, meeting the requirements of the labor market and the socio-economic development needs of the country.
The training program aims to equip learners with a system of foundational and specialized knowledge in the field of international trade and business law, including public policy-related trade between entities such as states and independent customs territories, as well as cross-border business and commercial relations and transactions between traders from different countries; provide learners with the necessary skills to perform professional activities after graduation; help learners develop the qualities and competencies appropriate to becoming specialists in the field of international trade and business law, capable of participating in legal research, law-making and law enforcement at domestic and foreign enterprises, international organizations, state agencies, socio-political organizations, research institutions, and institutions providing education in international trade and business law; and enable learners to pursue self-directed learning or continue their studies at higher levels.
2.2. Specific Objectives
2.1.1. Knowledge
Equip learners with basic knowledge of philosophy, economics, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, and information technology;
Provide learners with theoretical and practical knowledge of the State and law, foundational legal knowledge in civil law, criminal law, commercial law, public international law, private international law, financial and banking law, competition law, international business law, international maritime law, and other areas, as well as specialized legal knowledge in the field of international trade and business law, including: WTO law on trade in goods and trade in services; international business dispute settlement; the WTO dispute settlement mechanism for international trade disputes; international protection of intellectual property rights; international sale of goods contracts; contracts of carriage and insurance in foreign trade; trade defense measures; e-commerce law; franchising law; international commercial arbitration; etc.;
Help learners develop systematic legal thinking to address complex legal issues arising in international trade and business practice.
2.1.2. Skills
Help learners acquire the necessary professional skills to effectively apply the knowledge acquired to practical life and perform professional tasks related to international trade and business law, such as: application of law; dissemination, communication, and legal education; resolution of legal disputes; legal advice and provision of legal services; critical analysis, development, and improvement of policies and laws; legal research; and the acquisition and application of research findings in legal science.
Provide learners with a number of basic and useful supporting skills for professional activities, such as: searching for and updating information and documents; working independently and in teams; and communicating effectively through various methods and forms.
Help learners achieve proficiency in at least one foreign language.

Help learners attain the capacity to develop into specialists in the field of international trade and business law, with the ability to formulate scientific conclusions and recommendations and propose valuable solutions in professional activities; develop leadership, management, supervision, and guidance capabilities to effectively direct others in performing assigned tasks; develop the ability to self-direct, improve, and enhance their own competencies; rapidly adapt to high-pressure working environments that are constantly changing; and demonstrate creativity and entrepreneurial capacity, creating employment opportunities for themselves and others.

In accordance with the Admission Regulations, the admission scheme approved by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the annual undergraduate admission guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
