1. Educational Philosophy of VNU University of Law

The educational philosophy of VNU University of Law is aligned with the overall mission, vision, and development strategy of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), namely:

Liberal Education; Quality and Excellence; Innovation and Creativity; Lifelong Learning; Responsibility and Community Service.

2. Quality Policy of VNU University of Law

Building on and further developing its long-standing traditions, while maintaining and continuously enhancing its reputation and position as one of Vietnam’s leading institutions for legal education and research, VNU University of Law is committed to the effective operation and rigorous oversight of its internal quality assurance system. The University strives to continuously enhance the quality of education, provide the labor market with high-quality legal professionals, promote the country’s socio-economic development, and contribute to building a just, democratic, and civilized society through the following policies:

1.1. Respect and promote academic freedom in research, teaching, and learning; foster the holistic development of individuals; enable learners to realize their full potential and unique values; and provide a strong foundation in legal thinking, knowledge, skills, competencies, and a passion for lifelong learning, empowering learners to pursue the highest levels of knowledge and expertise.

1.2. Place learners at the center of all University activities, particularly education and student support. Mobilize resources to support learners in achieving the intended learning outcomes of academic programs, meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market and succeeding in an increasingly internationalized environment.

1.3. Continuously promote innovation and creativity across all areas of operation and promptly apply the latest scientific and technological advances, particularly in university governance, teaching, and research. Regularly review and renew academic programs and educational processes, as well as teaching methods and content; encourage staff, faculty members, and learners to proactively engage with emerging and contemporary legal issues of significant theoretical and practical importance in Vietnam and around the world.

1.4. Develop a highly qualified workforce of administrators, professional staff, and, in particular, faculty members with strong professional expertise, ethical qualities, and competencies. Foster a friendly and professional working environment that motivates all members to maximize their potential and contribute to building a quality culture within an advanced, humane institution committed to excellence and organizational development.

1.5. Enhance the quality and effectiveness of community engagement activities. Take an active and proactive role in the development, improvement, and review of the policies, laws, and legal frameworks of the Party and the State. Strengthen the connection between academic research and practical application in order to deliver valuable legal research outputs, contribute to improving the legal system, and promote the country’s socio-economic development.

1.6. Strengthen engagement between the University and society and enhance stakeholder satisfaction in the development and refinement of learning outcomes, academic programs, educational activities, learning outcomes, and the effective and appropriate utilization of human resources.
