On the afternoon of 12 May 2026, VNU University of Law held a specialized lecture on civil procedure law from a practical perspective, with Nguyen Bien Thuy, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, as the speaker.

- Applying supplementary principles: where no specific legal provision exists, judges may rely on custom, analogy, precedent and equity to resolve disputes and ensure access to justice.
- Mediation mechanisms: flexibly combining mediation law, court-based dialogue and procedural mediation to optimize outcomes for the parties.
- Court digital transformation: expanding electronic court models while retaining traditional methods for vulnerable parties to preserve a humane approach.
