The year 2026 holds special significance for VNU University of Law as the University celebrates its 50-year tradition (1976–2026). It is also a year in which the University continues to undertake a range of initiatives to strengthen the quality of education and enhance its international academic standing. Among these efforts is the AUN-QA external assessment of the Bachelor’s Programme in International Commercial Law, scheduled to take place in September 2026.
In recent years, quality assurance at the University has been implemented in an increasingly systematic and continuous manner, with a focus on reviewing, evaluating, and improving academic programmes. For the International Commercial Law programme, the University has focused on preparing the Self-Assessment Report, reviewing the evidence system, refining the assessment of the extent to which programme learning outcomes are achieved, and ensuring the necessary conditions in terms of faculty, facilities, and resources for the external assessment.
According to the plan, from 15 to 17 September 2026, an AUN-QA external assessment team will conduct the assessment of the Bachelor’s Programme in International Commercial Law at VNU University of Law.
During the assessment, the AUN-QA experts will review the Self-Assessment Report and supporting evidence, conduct a site visit, and meet with various groups of stakeholders, including University leaders, heads of relevant units, lecturers, professional staff, students, alumni, and employers. The discussions will cover key aspects of the programme, including curriculum, teaching and learning activities, faculty, facilities, learning outcomes, and quality assurance conditions.
The AUN-QA assessment provides an opportunity for the International Commercial Law programme to undergo an objective assessment against a set of quality standards widely applied in the region, while also enabling the University to identify its strengths and areas for further improvement.
The assessment takes place as VNU University of Law continues to strengthen its international academic standing, with its Law subject area ranked 351–400 worldwide by QS for two consecutive years. The outcome of the AUN-QA external assessment will provide an additional important basis for the University to further enhance its internal quality assurance system, improve the quality of its academic programmes, and strengthen its integration into the international higher education community.
As the University marks its 50-year tradition, VNU University of Law continues to place educational quality and continuous improvement at the heart of its development strategy, with the aim of providing high-quality legal education and better responding to the needs of learners, society, and the labour market.
