On October 31, 2024, VNU’s Hoa Lac campus hosted the 2024 VNU Student Scientific Research Conference, featuring significant advances in scale, quality, and engagement among the student community.
The Conference was attended by VNU Vice President Phạm Bảo Sơn, representatives of VNU’s Office and functional departments, leaders of VNU member and affiliated institutions, as well as more than 100 students and faculty supervisors whose research projects were selected for the final round. Student scientific research has long been a core component of VNU’s education and research strategy, contributing to the University’s scientific and technological capacity. It also provides students with opportunities to showcase their research talent and passion, while fostering academic exchange and experience-sharing among students from different VNU institutions.
This year, VNU University of Law made a strong impression, with two student teams participating in the Conference and receiving top awards:
- First Prize: “Using Copyrighted Materials to Train Generative AI and Potential Copyright Infringement: Experience of the US and Recommendations for Vietnam”, conducted by Phạm Thu Minh.
- Third Prize: “International Investment Disputes in Energy Transition and Possible Strategies for Prevention and Mitigation in Vietnam”, conducted by Nguyễn Quảng Hà, Phan Đức Trung, and Nguyễn Khánh Huyền.
These outstanding achievements reflect not only the students’ dedication to learning and research, but also their creativity and passion for academic inquiry. They further demonstrate VNU University of Law’s commitment to developing students with advanced legal knowledge and skills, equipping them to contribute knowledge to the community and society.
