Program Objectives
General Objective
The Research-Oriented Master’s Program in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law aims to provide learners with advanced expertise in criminal law and criminal procedure law, including comprehensive, in-depth, and up-to-date knowledge of criminal legal science. The program develops systematic legal thinking, research capabilities, professional skills, and qualities necessary to perform specialized professional tasks and meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market. It also provides a foundation in legal thinking, knowledge, and skills for independent learning and research or further study at higher levels.
Specific Objectives
Knowledge
- Provide foundational knowledge of philosophy and legal research methodology.
- Provide systematic and in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law, including criminal law, criminal procedure law, criminal enforcement law, and criminology.
- Develop systematic legal thinking based on a broad and in-depth knowledge base, enabling learners to effectively identify and address legal issues arising in academic research and professional practice, from basic to complex matters in criminal law and criminal procedure.
Skills
- Develop the skills necessary to independently and creatively conduct research into theoretical and practical issues concerning criminal law and criminal procedure law.
- Develop the ability to effectively apply criminal law and criminal procedure law to legal issues arising in practice and perform professional tasks, as well as provide criminal law and criminal procedure law advice to organizations and individuals.
- Develop the skills necessary to participate in the development and improvement of criminal and criminal procedural legislation.
