On 15 July 2026, VNU University of Law held its 2026 graduation and degree conferral ceremony. The event took place as the University prepares to mark the 50th anniversary of its founding.
Attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Vinh, Rector of VNU University of Law; members of the Party Committee and Board of Rectors; representatives of VNU’s affiliated units; partner organizations; heads of faculties and departments; faculty and staff; and a large number of parents and graduates.
In his remarks, Rector Nguyen Tien Vinh congratulated the students on completing their training program and formally becoming graduates of the University. He said the ceremony marked the completion of their studies and the beginning of a new stage involving both opportunities and responsibilities. Whether pursuing careers in the judiciary, legal practice, research, business, or further study, he urged graduates to maintain fortitude, integrity, a humane outlook, creativity, and a sense of responsibility to the community, and to use their legal knowledge to protect justice and serve society and the country.
He also thanked the Party Committee, the Presidential Board, and the functional departments of Vietnam National University, Hanoi for their guidance and support, as well as partner organizations, faculty and staff, and parents who chose VNU University of Law for their children’s education and supported students throughout their studies. As the graduates entered this next stage, the Rector expressed hope that they would take pride in the University, continue to develop themselves, and uphold its nearly 50-year tradition.
In his remarks, Vice President Dao Thanh Truong congratulated the graduates and acknowledged the efforts of the faculty, the support of parents, and the University’s efforts to reform its training activities. He urged the graduates to maintain fortitude, integrity, and respect for the rule of law, to keep learning and adapting, and to use their knowledge to uphold justice and serve their community and country. He also asked the University to continue reforming its curriculum and teaching methods, strengthen the connection between theory and practice, and expand scientific research and domestic and international cooperation.
2026 holds particular significance for the University as it prepares to mark 50 years since its founding, a period built by successive generations of staff, faculty, and students.
During the ceremony, a retrospective video was shown, featuring images from the students’ first day of enrollment, classroom sessions, academic and research activities, volunteer work, and cultural and sports events, through to their graduation. Homeroom advisors and the Rector also offered personal messages of encouragement to the graduates.
Graduates were individually called to the stage to receive their diplomas.
During the ceremony, the University also thanked the agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals who provided scholarships to its students. This support contributed to students’ motivation to complete their studies.
Graduates leave the University equipped with legal knowledge, professional skill, a sense of responsibility, and the values built up during their studies. The University wishes the graduates of 2026 steadiness, integrity, continued creativity, and success, and hopes they will uphold VNU University of Law’s nearly 50-year tradition.
